THe project
Realtor Miles Agee reached out to me for a commission project. He wanted to give recent home buyers a custom illustration of their new home for the holidays! This was one of the most fun projects I have done in the freelance world.
I created these on Procreate and sent Miles the files so he was able to print at any size/format he wanted for each client. This ensured the most custom gift was given to his new home owners!
Challenges
I went back and forth on what sort of line work I wanted to use. I could use completely straight lines that gave it more of an architectural feel OR I could draw them and let the natural wiggle of the pen build character.
Solution
I landed on using a combination of architecturally straight lines, for things like windows and roof lines, and then the "straight-ish" lines for the rest. Honestly, these are things only myself, as the artist would even realize. But it was a fun avenue to explore!
